World’s most valuable cut diamond is going on sale on the 4th of April
You might have to live off 9p noodles for a bit afterwards because it’s expected to sell for in excess of 60 million dollars.
This valuable cut diamond is being sold by Sotheby’s, in Hong Kong next week. If you’re thinking of buying it you’ll probably need some more deets, so here’s the intel.
It's the largest internally flawless fancy vivid pink diamond ever graded by the GIA. (Fancy is a legit diamond term, not just a fun way to say it’s nice) and It’s unflawed and naturally pink.
It is 59.60-carats. To put that in comparison and was last sold in November 2013, but the sale came to a sticky end when Sotheby’s had to require the diamond, as the buyer was unable to pay for it. We’ve all been there, babes.
But because the diamond is so rare, it took the diamond group who discovered it 20 months to cut it. The stone was then unveiled at a public ceremony in Monaco in 2003.
If it weren’t for the undeniable pink hue to the stone, we’d be starting to doubt the veracity of Britney Spears’ claim that ‘the old lady dropped it into the ocean at the end.’
Anyone interested in buying it? you should book a tickets to Hong Kong now for the 4th of April, or say your goodbye to this precious stone .
