China’s Hottest Grandpa is the new brand ambassador of Reebok
You might be a little slower and have a bit less bounce, but whatever exercise and strengthening you do in your youth helps you out later in life.
Few of us in our 20s are anywhere near as fit as the 81-year-old granddad who’s just been made Reebok’s new brand ambassador.
He is Wang Deshun, the face of the brand’s latest ‘Be More Human’ campaign, alongside actors Yuan Shanshan and Wu Lei. You might recognise him from a couple of years ago when he was snapped strutting bare-chested down the catwalk during Beijing Fashion Week.
And since then, ‘China’s hottest grandpa’ (as he’s known) has turned to fitness modelling and has appeared in various publications to discuss his exercise regime.
He got into serious fitness workout at the age of 70, Wang’s example has helped reshape China’s views on ageing and shown (that) you’re never too old to pursue your goals,’ Reebox says.
The label, which is owned by Adidas, is hoping to become ‘China’s best fitness brand’, with Wang helping to promote their new range and fitness hubs which they plan to open all over the country.
