The unnamed man suffered serious injuries during the show in north eastern Vietnam.
He approached the crocodile to try and calm it down, but as he crouched down and put his face near the 5ft to 6ft reptile’s mouth.
That’s when it snapped its jaw shut, shaking him but not actually going into the death roll.
Covering his face with his hands, the man walks away a few strides and crouches down in agony. Blood seeps out from behind his hands and people in the audience scream.

Someone hands him a towel, which quickly turns bright red with blood, and he is led away, the crocodile left alone on the stage.
The Ha Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism had invited the unnamed circus troupe to put on their show in Liem Can, said the area’s administration chairman Pham Van Do.
