3D printed home was made on location in just 24 hours

Apis Cor is a US based company who have managed to build a 400 ft square home in just 24 hours thanks to the marvels of 3D printing.
3D printed home was made on location in just 24 hours

They are the first company to develop a portable 3D printer able to print whole buildings entirely on location.
The future is now!

This single-story, igloo-like home was constructed near Moscow in Russia and the company report the materials used should last at least 175 years.
Priced at just $10,134 (that includes all fittings and plumbing), it sounds like a more than worthy investment.
The building can be printed in any shape and at a larger size, with the only restrictions on designs being the ‘laws of physics’.
Apis Cor reports that this was the first time in the Russian construction practice that ‘a house was printed as a whole, rather than assembled from pre-printed panels.’

The inside of the home looks bigger and to be honest, way better than my East London studio flat.
There’s a hall, a bathroom, a living room and a compact functional kitchen – yep, definitely bigger than my studio.
The company say they are confident that this home is just the first step into the future of the construction market, which will be all about 3D printing technology.
After seeing these photos we’re inclined to agree.
