Mark Zuckerberg’s team asked restaurant staff not to bother him
The billionaire was taking a break from his US tour where he hoped speak to more people about life, work and the future.
Zuckerberg’s team apparently called the OvenBird restaurant, in Birmingham, Alabama, before his arrival and asked them to tell staff not to bother him while he was eating.
‘Our instructions were to take no pictures, just say hello to them and let them be and have a nice, quiet meal. And that’s what we did,’ owner and chef Chris Hastings told Birmingham News.
He added: ‘It was very flattering for us to be chosen to be the restaurant where they ate. We took that very seriously and with a great deal of pride.’
But there were no rules preventing Mr Hastings from taking photos of the couple’s meal, which he did.
‘Mark Zuckerberg Food is like magic, hope you enjoyed our life’s work! It was an honor to host you and your lovely wife Priscilla tonight,’ he wrote after posting a snap of their food on Twitter.
