Surfer survives huge great white shark charging at him caught on drone footage

The surfer had his legs hanging off the side of his board before the next wave could take him.

Great white sharks can be deadly to humans and the drone video shows the animal making a beeline to the surfer.

The scary incident occurred on Lighthouse Beach in New South Wales, Australia – notorious for its shark attacks.

As the video shows, the surfers seem totally unaware of the shark which is just metres away.

Cooper Allen, a 17-year-old, was attacked by a shark on the beach just this September.

In September 25-year-old Seneca Rus was attacked, followed by Jade Fitzpatrick, 36, the next month.

According to the Australian there have been 11 shark attacks, two deadly, in the region since 2014.
