Here's how to massively boost your iPhone’s charging speed
Today, It is very much a first-world problem but that doesn’t make it any less annoying when you have things to do and places to be.
Well fortunately, there are a number of things you can do to get that green bar refilled as quickly as possible so you can go about your day in peace of mind.
Step 1: Fork out for a good charger
So this first step involves spending a bit of money but it can make a significant difference. That means brand chargers instead of that fake one you picked up at the market.
And using an iPad charger would also boost speed but risks damaging your battery’s performance in the long term.
Yet in the same way a USB charger (2.5 watts) provides less power than an iPhone adapter plugged into a wall (5 watts).
Step 2: Put it in a cool place
According to Mashable, an iPhone battery’s performance drops when it heats up. Steps you can take to keep it cool include keeping it out of the sun or removing a case when charging. The official advice is to keep it at room temperature.
Step 3: Use low-power mode or flight mode
The use of low-power mode will reduce how much energy your phone is using and shutdown any background functions eating up loads of power.
In much the same way as low=power mode, flight mode will boost battery usage by preventing functions such as WiFi eating up power.
Step 5: Turn off push notifications
Turning off push notifications by heading to settings and selecting notifications. This will save energy and speed up the charging speed of your phone.
Step 6: Turn it off
And of course, turning it off is the quickest way of charging an iPhone, if you can manage it.
This is because the phone isn’t draining any power.
According to Mac World, it will take around two hours to fully charge this way.
