Three hot air balloons crashed dozens of people injured
The injured, mostly foreign tourists, were hurt during the hard landings earlier today.
The balloons were carrying mostly European and Chinese tourists for rides over Turkey’s Cappadocia region when the winds suddenly picked up.
Some were forced to make emergency landings.
Nine of the 49 people hurt in the incident were being treated for fractured bones.
The rest had minor injuries and were quickly released from hospital.
It is believed that the three were part of a group of 10 balloons that had taken off together.
Cappadocia is known for its volcanic rock formations, underground cities and churches carved into mountainsides.
