Disney came out fighting against the claims made about the Oscar-winning movie, and declared they will ‘vigorously defend against it in court’.
Disney's spokeswoman said: "Mr Goldman’s lawsuit is riddled with patently false allegations.

It is an unprincipled attempt to lay claim to a successful film he didn’t create, and we will vigorously defend against it in court." Goldman, who has credits for Minority Report, Total Recall and Basic Instinct, claims his pitched project has many ‘substantial’ similarities to 2016’s movie.
Goldman claims his idea was to show what life is like in America through the eyes of a group of civilized animals. And Zootopia focuses on a bunny rabbit’s mission to become a police officer in a city where predator and prey exist side-by-side.
Zootopia beat Moana, Kubo and the Two Strings, My Life as a Zucchini and The Red Turtle to the Best Animated Feature Film title at the 2017 Oscars in February.
