Nicki Minaj shuts down Lil’ Kim copycat comparisons

The Anaconda singer took to Instagram to subtly let the world know that her outfit was not inspired by rap queen Lil’ Kim’s famous purple

MTV Video Music Awards back in 1999, but was in fact inspired by…Picasso.

Captioning the repost, she captioned it: ‘RP @carolinedemaigret #Picasso 1907 #NickiInPARIS’.

Each to their own Nicki, but we’re not quite sure we believe ya.

Turning up to the Haider Ackermann show in Paris, the 34-year-old wore a black top that bared all, showing off one of her arms and a cheeky boob which was covered with nothing but a nipple pasty.

Considering the rivalry between the two female rappers, it’s no surprise that Nicki wants to distance herself from the comparisons.

Oh well; you know what they say about imitation being the best form of flattery.

The 41-year-old reportedly saw the Anaconda singer’s Paris Fashion Week look, with a source telling Hollywood Life that she said is ‘glad she can inspire non-original girls.’

Nicki is not the only one that’s been inspired by Lil’ Kim over the years.
