New dad Liam Payne thanks fans for their great support for his son

Cheryl gave birth to a boy earlier this month, with the One Direction star saying he was ‘speechless’ at becoming a dad.

Liam, have managed to grab a moment to himself as he posted a sweet message on Twitter thanking his followers for their well wishes.

He tweeted: ‘Thank you to everyone for the love and supportive messages for myself and @CherylOfficial. It really means a lot.’

Announcing the birth of his boy, who is yet to be named, Liam said: ‘I’m completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she’s really made my dreams come true. We haven’t named him yet but he’s already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed.’

New mum Cheryl said: "We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival."

Liam and Cheryl have been congratulated by members of both 1D and Cheryl’s old band Girls Aloud.
