It’s part of a test of a range of emoji icons, called Messenger Reactions – including classic happy faces, crying faces and LOL emoji.
Facebook says it hopes that people might use the icon as a quick way to say, ‘No’ – rather than using it like everyone really WANTS to use a Dislike button, by covering annoying posts in hundreds of Dislikes.
Facebook says, ‘We’re always testing ways to make Messenger more fun and engaging. This is a small test where we enable people to share an emoji that best represents their feelings on a message.
