When asked whether or not she turned down Chazelle’s film for Beauty And The Beast, she explained that the latter required three months prep and three to four months worth of shooting in the UK.

She said: ‘I was saying before it’s like you can’t half-arse a project like this, you know, you’re in or you’re out. And I was like I’ve kinda got to be all in and so this was really where my heart was and I knew I had to fully commit and make sure that I did this.’
Having to learn a number of skills like horse riding, singing and dancing, the 26-year-old likened the strenuous training to going to a ‘Belle Bootcamp’.

Talking about having to sing in the film, she described the whole experience as ‘nerve wracking’ and also admitted that it gave her a few moments of ‘a real crisis of confidence.’
However, regardless of how intense preparing for the film was the actress revealed that if she could she would do a musical everyday day for the rest of her life.

The Belle star who was in talks to star in La La Land was rumoured to have been dropped for Emma Stone due to her ‘crazy demands.’
Emma is certainly an actress in demand.
Earlier this year, Emma explained that she was approached to star as Cinderella in Kenneth Branagh’s 2015 live-action remake before Downton Abbey’s Lily James was cast.

On her decision to turn down the role of playing Cinders, she told Total Film: ‘I didn’t know they were going to make Beauty And The Beast at the time I turned down Cinderella.
‘But when they offered me Belle, I just felt the character resonated with me so much more than Cinderella did.’
