Ed Sheeran cameo on the new series of Game Of Thrones
Stark sisters Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner were moderating a panel at the South By Southwest panel in Austin, Texas when executive producers David Benioff, D.B. Weiss announced the news.
They said: ‘For years, we tried to get Ed Sheeran on the show to surprise Maisie, and this year we finally did it.’
And fans of the show couldn’t quite believe it:
It’s believed the Shape Of You singer will appear in the seventh and penultimate series of the HBO show which airs in July.
Let’s hope he’s one of the lucky ones who makes it out alive, hey.
The news comes just days after the show announced a much earlier release date for the series than fans had first thought – but Ser Davros maybe did give the game away.
So far, fans of the hit telly show have a teaser poster to go by – featuring a very important sword.
And a trailer for the show hints at something very big happening.
Game Of Thrones season seven will air on July 16 on HBO.
