Durian flavoured Kit Kats could soon be a thing
Daily News reports Thailand’s government is investigating a number of potential new Kit Kat flavours with manufacturers, Nestle, in a bid to increase tourism.
It’s a move that makes perfect sense, especially to those of us who have been to Japan and tried the green tea and cherry blossom flavour Kit Kats, which are a culinary masterpiece.
And how could we forget the hit or miss, limited edition sushi Kit Kat?
But we think Thailand may have gotten the wrong end of the stick with this one.
Right now, they’re looking to create flavours like tamarind, mangosteen, and, the one that had our jaws on the floor, a durian flavoured Kit Kat.
Yes, a durian. The fruit which has been dubbed ‘the King of fruit,’ in South East Asia and is generally excepted by many to be the world’s most pungent.
Are they expecting thrill seekers? Adrenaline junkies? Masochists? Because that’s certainly who they’ll be pulling in if they release these bizarre concoctions.
