Your cat can now stay in their own five star hotel
Look, you may be stressed out and overworked. But spare a thought for the real overachievers in need of a break: cats.
Cats have to spend their days being adorable, keeping humans at an emotional distance, and snoozing. It’s tough. They’re really busy.
So if anyone deserves a five-star holiday, it’s cats.
And you, maybe. But definitely cats.
For a long time, the only options for cat holidays were trips to catteries (which are overwhelmingly dismal), a stay at a friend’s house, or a journey to one of the few cat-friendly hotels around the world.
A new hotel in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, is offering something a little different.
Catzonia is a snazzy 35-bedroom hotel, complete with airport pickups, spa treatments, and lounge areas.
Oh, and it’s just for cats.
It’s intended as a place where cat-owners can leave their cats for a few days while they’re away on holiday, as a cat-care location for just a few hours, or as a longterm solution to never being home during the day (as you can leave your cat at the hotel from anywhere between three hours to a year).
But it also makes the perfect place to just send your cat on a solo holiday. Because they deserve it.
At the hotel, cats are given three meals a day, plenty of cuddles, grooming (they’ll even do a lion cut), and there’s even a ‘dating’ service for cats in heat.
