That’s because he was cut off with a flagrant ruthlessness just as he was beginning his acceptance speech for Song Of The Year.
Still, the mighty Adele had spoken so TV bosses at CBS were clearly happy to mute the brains behind her success as soon as possible.
Greg Kurstin patiently watched as his British muse made a speech about their work together, before she stepped aside and gestured for him to take to the mic.
But loud music began playing just as the grinning 47-year-old began to speak.
The telly gaffe came swiftly after Adele described how indebted she felt to Greg for visiting her in the UK to write together so she didn’t have to leave her son.
‘Give it up for Greg Kurstin!’ she shouted, before continuing: ‘I’d like to thank Greg because Greg kept coming to England for me, to work with me….
