Salt Bae is back with a new video – and things are getting weird
Ditching his joint of meat for an entire headless lamb, Turkish chef Nusret Gökçe is showing off his signature salt sprinkle in a video that could definitely be described as ‘unnerving’.
On one hand, you can’t help but admire the chef for his hunkiness, his slick knife movements and the mesmerising sprinkle of salt that never fails to please.
On the other hand, he’s dancing with a slaughtered lamb to ‘I Love You Baby’, and taking a bouquet of flowers out of the lamb’s rear end.
While the clip, which was posted to the chef’s Instagram account, has once again received an astounding number of views – over four million, in fact – we’re just not feeling that same satisfaction as he swiftly slices the knife through the lamb’s neck. It just feels strange.
ut we’ll forgive him, of course, because we can’t help but love his dedication to precise slicing. And those sunglasses.
And we’re not the only ones who feel this way – as viewers described the chef as ‘dramatic’ and ‘amazing’.
One mesmerised Instagram user wrote: ‘Can’t take my eyes off you,’ while another said: ‘Oh boy, this guy has some real moves.’
One other user asked a pretty valid question: ‘Saltbae, how do you keep your white shirts so clean?’ which we’d definitely love to know the answer to.
