Chester Zoo is rearing this orphaned baby dik-dik by hand
He’s a one-month-old orphan dik-dik who’s being reared by staff at Chester Zoo.
At just 19cm tall, he’s no bigger than a bottle of cola and is still too light to register on the zoo’s scales.
Thanos’ mother died soon after giving birth and he is currently being bottle-fed by staff five times a day until he’s old enough to eat by himself.
‘What’s the hell is a dik-dik?’ I hear you ask.
They’re small antelopes who get their name from the noise they make when threatened.
