Nestle has urgently recalled their KitKat bites over nut allergy fears


An allergic reactions can turn deadly – and those with the allergy can be affected even if they just come into contact with nuts.
With symptoms include a tingling sensation, swelling, rashes, tightness around the throat and neck – and breathing difficulties.
With that, Nestle have warned that instead of the standard bites, the batch actually contains peanut butter bites. In a statement a spokesman said: ‘Although these packs are labelled with “may contain peanut and nuts” there is a risk to anyone with a nut or peanut allergy who may consume their contents without realising. ‘We are therefore making this recall as a precaution.
‘The products are otherwise safe to consume and this does not affect any other KitKat products. ‘Any consumers who have purchased the above KitKat Original Milk Chocolate Bites Pouch Bag with batch code 70720457V2 are advised not to eat the product (and) dispose of the contents.’
