If you are trying to get through breakfast and get on with your work. You have to keep lifting up your toast to take a nibble, put it down, and then pick up your mug to ingest some caffeine.
And with that, It’s just so much effort, you know? Thankfully, some wise people have swooped in to save us from this unending horror.
Today Selfridges launched Espresso Spread. A spread made of espresso. Its made with Arabica coffee, cocoa butter, a little sugar, and cream. It looks a bit like tar.

A creation of coffee experts Flat Brew, who say the spread is designed to have a ‘sophisticated, bitter taste’. Yum.
It is packed with caffeine. 9g of the spread is the equivalent of one espresso shot, so if you slather a pastry in the stuff you’ll be buzzing all morning.
We are a little confused as to why anyone actually needs this spread (surely we have time to drink our coffee and enjoy toast free of the bitter taste of espresso), but if you fancy giving it a go, it’ll be on sale for £5.99 a jar in Selfridges from 10 April to 16 April as part of UK coffee week.
Be warned though: it’s not as Instagrammable as your usual latte plus croissant.
