Civil rights activist Rosa Parks, Mexican artist Frida Kahlo and Polish physicist Marie Curie were all featured in the app’s new filters.
Many users tried out the new filters – but were pretty surprised to discover the Marie Curie filter applied a false set of lashes and a sexy smoky eye.
Curie, who conducted groundbreaking research on radioactivity and is credited with discovering Radium and Polonium, wasn’t really well-known for her come to bed eyes.
Released on an international day to specifically celebrate the achievements of women, Snapchat users were quick to ask why the firm had bothered to add a set of fluttering lashes.
