Snap of Miley in wedding dress and the internet lost it

The Twittersphere went into a near meltdown after Miley’s dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, posted a pic of her in a white dress with the caption: ‘I’m so happy…you are happy @mileycyrus’ and fans went crazy believing it was a wedding dress.

Which can only mean she had married Liam.

Cue screams.

Turns out however that Miley and Liam are not in fact newly hitched as Miley’s manager confirmed to Us Weekly that ‘[it was] just some great photos that happen to have been taken in a white dress’.

The pair got engaged in 2012 after they met on the set of film The Last Song but they split a year later before finally deciding to rekindle their romance in 2016.
