Man died of heart attack upon catching rare Pokemon Lapras
The man, 67, was playing in Singapore when he spotted the ice Pokemon, highly sought after in the game.
An experienced player at Level 28, he had caught more than 200 different monsters and was out on a hunting trip when he became ill.
Analysis of his phone in the moments before his death showed he had just caught the sea creature Lapras as well as Granbull, one of the second generation monsters released in a recent update to the game.
He had been out to find the monsters in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, after eating a meal with his family on Sunday afternoon.
His wife, 66, said: ‘There was a sudden call from the hospital after 6pm,’ Asian One reports.
‘They (The medical staff) told us to come see him one last time.
‘At that moment, I knew things were bad.’
She told reporters she immediately suspected a heart attack as her husband had suffered cardiac problems before.
