Japan Krispy Kreme has launched a new premium line
Sure, some may say the Biscoff option is superior while others will argue for Nutty Chocolatta, those people are wrong… but we could argue about this all day. I Googled the most popular flavour, and there is really no definitive answer.
But one thing is for sure, Japan Krispy Kreme has just one-upped us all when it comes to decadence, with the release of their ‘Premium Range’.
According to the Krispy Kreme Japan website (and some detective work using Google translate), we discovered these bad boys have been created to taste like a cake, paired with luxuriously whipped cream. Which at first sounds like just any other decadent Krispy Kreme, but it gets better.
There are 4 flavours Brulee Grated Cream, Sakura, Green Tea Adzuki, and Cafe Latte Bunny.
Bar the Brulee Grated Cream, the doughnuts will only be available for a limited time and sadly, only available in Japan (for now).
This beautiful range is quintessentially Japanese, featuring adzuki bean paste, cherry blossom and green tea flavours.
The Brulee Grated Cream stars an Original Glazed doughnut with caramelised surface, ‘sandwiching melted custard and fluffy whipping cream.’
The Sakura is a sweet and sour doughnut, which is just crazy enough to work, featuring cherry paste and strawberry puree.
The Green Tea Adzuki uses bean paste, chocolate and is flavoured with Uji green tea.
And the Cafe Latte Bunny, aside from being adorable, is a cafe latte flavoured doughnut (duh).
