Barber made stunning artwork from the hair he snips off
He is Wang Xiaojiu, a crimper from Jilin City in the Jilin Province of north-east China, has found an inventive way to make the most of the discarded hair he snips off customers.
With his amazing compositions take hours to complete, and include animals, mythical creatures and cartoon characters. One of his animal themed images, a shark, reportedly took him three hours – and the finished picture was 1.3 metres (4 feet 3 inches) long.
The hair artist also created a giraffe out of the discarded hair – which pokes its head out of a picture frame, giving it a 3D effect.
A fanged serpent was crafted out of the discarded hair last year – which looks like it has been tied to the floor and is writhing in fury.
Xiaojiu is 32 years-old also enjoys crafting superhero Wolverine, who is pictured in his trademark singlet, brandishing his claws.
It’s not known exactly how he creates his artwork – but it must involve hours of very careful sweeping with a tiny brush.
After taking a photo of his work, it’s thought Xiaojiu simply sweeps them away again, so that more hair can fall to the floor and be turned into incredible art.
