Woman claims she lost her job because she is ‘too good looking’

Emma Hulse, 24, was employed as a freelance runner for a TV production firm in London.

But she claims she was sent home shortly after arriving for a shift at UNIT TV in Soho, and told she ‘should be on a catwalk’ by her manager.
She says he asked her ‘Are you a model’ and ‘Why are you not at the front of house?’
‘I was quite disappointed to be sent home. I didn’t really know what to do,’ she told the Mirror.
‘Maybe that company employs plain looking people and maybe if you don’t look that way they don’t take you, maybe I was a distraction.’

‘I was wearing a shirt and trousers. I really didn’t think I looked inappropriate.’
She also claimed that her manager asked for her phone number and suggested they go for a drink outside of work.
Emma has posted hundreds of selfies on Instagram, where her bio reads: ‘I have a high I.Q. To me, most people are extremely simple-minded, dull, and hopelessly caught in the trappings of everyday, boring life.
‘Life is a b.’

Adam Luckwell, who owns the company, told Metro: ‘Unit takes any accusation of discrimination on any ground very seriously, it is in direct contravention of the company’s policies and against the underlying ethos of the company.
