Magical unicorn blanket

That was fun.

But that time is over now, because someone’s gone ahead and taken the cosy blanket plus fantasy animal theme to its natural conclusion: a unicorn blanket.

This makes sense, really. People are obsessed with unicorns. People love to snuggle up in blankets. Put the two together and you’re on to a winner.

Which is why this design, created by Mj’s Off the Hook Designs (great wordplay, MJ) is currently getting loads of love on Pinterest.

MJ’s unicorn blanket is a cosy crochet throw complete with colourful tassels and – of course – a crochet horn sitting atop a hood. So once you’re snuggled up, you look like a little unicorn. Delightful.

The bad news? You can’t actually go ahead and buy MJ’s unicorn blanket and fulfill all your unicorn dreams.

The good news? You can make MJ’s unicorn blanket, if you happen to have some crochet skills.

The crochet pattern is available through Ravelry for $6 (£4.82) in adult or child sizes. It’ll take around eight hours to make – depending on the level of your skills.

Which, if you’re truly dedicated to your unicorn obsession, is probably worth it.
