Kids react to the 2017 Oscar nominated films

Well, ahead of the main event in Hollywood on February 26, the folks at Talk Talk TV have given us some idea of how children have been viewing this year’s crop of awards hopefuls.

Which, in short, means showing them the trailers from some of the nominated movies – and getting them to comment on what they’ve seen.
Here are just some of their thoughts:

La La Land

‘They met each other and then they broke up but then they loved each other.’
‘Now they’re kissing again. Gross.’

Lion

‘He’s all lonely because he lost his family.’
‘I’d be really scared if I lost my parents.’

Arrival

‘Aliens live on the moon in those little holes.’
‘If an alien landed in my garden I’d let him come in my house and watch TV.’

Florence Foster Jenkins

‘It’s a lady singing and getting married.’
‘Everyone loves her…why?’

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

‘There’s a very big scary lion.’
‘It wasn’t scary for me, I’m not scared of anything.’
They also have a lot of fun trying to pronounce Meryl Streep’s name – but we’ll leave you to see those efforts for yourself.
