Genius way to stop cereal going soggy
Most people have come to terms with eating lackluster cereal on a busy morning.
But one person has devised an ingenious hack to make sure you can get the most out of your bowl of corn flakes without rushing your breakfast.
Earlier this month, Mabel Ye tweeted the simple trick she uses to keep her cereal crunchy. In her video, she pours dry cereal into a bowl just like any other morning routine. Then, she hacks her breakfast by pouring milk into a cup which she keeps on the side.
Rather than letting the delicious grains disintegrate in a bowl of milk, Ye proves you really can have it all by dunking the cereal into her cup, spoonful by spoonful.
The news spread fast on social media, and Ye’s video has been retweeted more than 1,000 times.
It definitely does the job, but there’s got to be an easier way. Dunking takes up far more time than combining the two ingredients, and throwing a cup into the mix means more washing up.
It might be working for some, but the post also caused outrage on Twitter.
Some said dunking every spoonful individually is a waste of time.
Others also pointed out a fatal flaw in Ye’s hack. While dunking might work for the first few bites, it’s more difficult to dip your cereal into a cup when the milk is running low.
And some said they’d miss the taste of cereal milk that only comes from using one bowl for everything.
Meanwhile, others started sharing their own daring hacks to prevent Shreddies getting soggy.
