Newlywed Meghan Markle wears Princess Diana's aquamarine ring

Meghan Markle smiles while wearing Princess Diana's aquamarine ring

The Duchess of Sussex, 36, was pictured sporting the gorgeous ring - which once belonged to Diana - as she left for the reception tonight

Meghan Markle is wearing Princess Diana's aquamarine ring to her evening wedding reception in a beautiful tribute to the late princess.
The Duchess of Sussex, 36, was pictured flashing the gorgeous ring - which once belonged to Diana - as she left for the reception tonight.
It appears the item was a poignant wedding day gift from Prince Harry, who was seen beaming beside her as they departed from Windsor Castle.
Meghan wore the impressive gem on her right hand. Diana had been previously pictured wearing the large, emerald cut ring at a charity event.

The newlyweds are pictured departing the castle in Berkshire after tying the knot
Meghan and Harry, 33, earlier tied the knot at St George's Chapel in a dazzling ceremony that was watched by millions across the world.
The couple were later pictured driving off in a silver blue Jaguar E-Type Concept Zero as they headed to their reception at Frogmore House.
As well as Diana's ring, the bride was seen wearing a bespoke lily white high neck gown, made of silk crepe and designed by Stella McCartney.
Her shoes were from Aquazurra and made in silky satin, with nude mesh.
The soles, which were painted baby blue, matched the vintage Jaguar.
Her hair was styled by George Northwood, and she looked stunning as she and her new husband left the castle in the open-top classic sports car.
The Jaguar, which is a concept model, was originally manufactured in 1968 but has since been converted to electric power. Its licence plate is today's date - E190518 - which will, of course, be the pair's anniversary.
Harry, who drove Meghan through the Windsor Great Park in the early evening sunshine, was dressed in black tie.
The party-loving prince is said to have requested a Tiki-themed bar for his and Meghan's wild carnival and festival-themed 'afterparty'.
Guests will reportedly be welcomed by a steel band before feasting on South African wagyu beef and quaffing iced beers, champagne and ice luges filled with vodka, in a throwback to Mahiki - the groom's favourite London nightclub.
Prince Charles, who will host the private evening for the couple's "inner circle", is expected to pick up the tab for the 200-strong party.
Harry's polo pal Nacho Figueras posted a picture of his black tie evening outfit to Instagram, simply writing: "Part 2."

Royal Wedding moments you might have missed

While all eyes were on the happy couple, the dress and that kiss, you might have missed what was going on behind them

The wedding of the year went off without a hitch and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now husband and wife.
But while all eyes were on the happy couple, the dress and that kiss, you might have missed what was going on behind them.
There are always subplots to royal weddings - just ask Pippa Middleton , who became an international name on the back of the last one.
So what about this time round?

Let's take you through them with our sister paper, the Birmingham Mail ...
Meghan looked amazing in a demure gown.
And it was designed by acclaimed designer, Clare Waight Keller - who hails from Birmingham.
Ms Waight Keller last year became the first female artistic director at the historic French fashion house Givenchy.
The palace said: “Ms Markle expressed the wish of having all 53 countries of the Commonwealth with her on her journey through the ceremony.
"Ms Waight Keller designed a veil representing the distinctive flora of each Commonwealth country united in one spectacular floral composition.”
But while the world was watching here's some things you might have missed in all the excitement.
David couldn't hold back a smile during the Royal Wedding address by Bishop Michael Curry.
But Victoria looked less than impressed as she failed to raise a smile for the nuptials, the Liverpool Echo reports .
Pageboys hold the train of the dress of Meghan Markle
Meghan had ten pageboys and bridesmaids and they did a sterling job during the wedding.
Twin boys Master Brian Mulroney and Master John Mulroney both aged seven, did a great job of carrying Meghan's huge train.
Princess Charlotte is great at wooing the crowds and today was no exception as she carried out her Royal Wave with aplomb.
The Princess stole the show when she went to see her newborn baby brother as she waved to photographers and the assembled crowd.
The three-year-old again delighted the crowds with her little wave.
The Royal family struggled to keep it together during the Bishop's unconventional sermon.
Zara Phillips reaction was particularly hilarious, with her incredible side-eye.

The image of Kate Middleton giving Camilla the side eye will forever be burned in my eyeballs 馃槀馃槀

The Choir singing stand by me

The Choir singing Stand By Me was a real highlight of the wedding, with the crowd outside the chapel joining in the singing.
The Kingdom Choir led by Karen Gibson performed "Stand By Me"—the 1961 classic by Ben E. King.
The choir's rendition caused goosebumps and was a modern addition to the Royal Wedding.

'You look amazing': Emotional Harry's words to Meghan as she arrives at church

Emotional Harry told Meghan "you look amazing" as he saw her in her wedding dress for the first time.
The groom, 33, stood at the altar in St George's Chapel, Windsor, smiled as his bride walked towards him.
Meghan arrived accompanied by two page boys who held up her train as she made her way up the chapel's steps alone.
She is wearing a simple, long-sleeved white dress, with veil covering her face.
The royal bride entered the chapel by herself, to begin the walk down the alter, before being met by the Prince of Wales.
Prince Charles accompanied Meghan, 36, down the aisle in her father Thomas' absence while best man Prince William supported his brother.
Meghan spent her last night as an unmarried woman with her mum Doria Ragland at Cliveden House, roughly 10 miles from Windsor Castle.
Prince Harry stayed 15 miles away at Coworth Park with William.
Harry and Meghan announced their engagement to a flurry of excitement in November 2017, just days after Harry had popped the question over roast chicken.
Divorcee Meghan was baptised and confirmed into the Church of England ahead of her wedding day, with a small ceremony at the Chapel Royal in St James’s Palace in early March.
The Archbishop of Canterbury described it as "very special".
The Dean of Windsor, The Rt Reverend David Conner, will conduct the service, while The Most Reverend and Rt Honourable Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, will officiate as the couple make their marriage vows.
After the vows, a carriage procession will begin at 1pm, but it will just be the newly-weds.
Harry and Meghan will ride through Windsor in an Ascot Landau carriage - or the Scottish State Coach if it rains. The carriage will be pulled by father and son Windsor Greys Storm and Tyrone.
The route will take them from Windsor Castle via Castle Hill and process along the High Street and through Windsor Town, before returning to Windsor Castle along the Long Walk.
The streets will be lined by members of the Windsor Castle Guard from 1st Battalion Irish Guards, Royal Navy Small Ships and Diving, The Royal Marines, 3 Regiment Army Air Corps, The Royal Gurkha Rifles and RAF Honington.
After the procession, there will be a reception at St George’s Hall for the couple and guests from the congregation.
Later on, Harry's father the Prince of Wales will host a private evening event for the couple and 200 guests at Frogmore House where chefs will provide a seasonal menu .
Then guests are reported to have a festival-themed after party to look forward to .

The bride, 36, gave millions around the world the first full look at her beautiful dress as she emerged from a car outside St George's Chapel, at Windsor Castle just before midday

Meghan Markle has arrived at church for her marriage to Prince Harry wearing a stunning gown.
The bride, 36, gave millions around the world the first full look at her spectacular dress as she emerged from a car outside St George's Chapel, at Windsor Castle just before midday.
She smiled and waved to fans who had gathered to celebrate her wedding to Prince Harry, 33, before going up the steps to the church.
Meghan has decided to walk the first part of the aisle solo accompanied by her six bridesmaids and page boys after her father Thomas Markle pulled out of the ceremony at the last minute.
Prince Charles will join her at the quire and walk by her side to the altar where she will be reunited with Harry.
Meghan's dress is likely be as popular as Kate Middleton's gown did in 2011 when she married William.
The Alexander McQueen creation was estimated to have cost around £250,000 to make and featured exquisite hand embroidery by The Royal School of Needlework.

First glimpse of stunning bride Meghan Markle

The actress, 36, is en route to join Prince Harry's hand in marriage after setting off from her £1,500-a-night hotel 10 miles away

Meghan Markle has been seen for the first time en route to Windsor Castle to marry Prince Harry.
The stunning bride was photographed as she left the Cliveden House Hotel, on the National Trust's Cliveden Estate in Taplow, Berkshire.
She will now be driven the 10-mile trip to St George's Chapel in Windsor where Prince Harry waits for the midday service.
Meghan checked into the luxury hotel where rooms can cost more than £1,500 a night yesterday with mum Doria, who is travelling to the chapel with here.
But the Suits star will only be accompanied by her future father-in-law for the last part of her journey to the altar.
During the first half of the journey, she'll be alone except for her troupe of six young bridesmaids and four page boys.
The last minute decision on who will give her away was made after Meghan's dad Thomas Markle Snr sensationally dropped out just days before the wedding.
Mr Markle was at the centre of a row about staged paparazzi photos before undergoing heart surgery.
Meghan and her mum yesterday joined the Queen and Prince Philip for afternoon tea at Buckingham Palace.
It came after a whirlwind of royal engagements for Meghan, her mum and Harry that included lunch with Charles and Camilla, and a day with Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Meghan announced her engagement to Prince Harry last November.
The lavish wedding is estimated to cost up to £30million.
There will be a carriage procession around Windsor once the ceremony concludes followed by a reception at St George's Hall, hosted by the Queen.
Later in the day there will be a private reception hosted by Prince Charles at Frogmore House.

Royal fans immediately took to Twitter to comment on her "regretful" face.
